Kenya, May 26 -- Some promoters hired by Daraja Agency to sell Dairyland ice cream and chocolate are worried because they have not received their pay since March.

These workers say they are having a hard time meeting their basic needs, and some are facing eviction because they cannot pay their rent.

The promoters made a public appeal on social media, expressing their frustration about not hearing back from Daraja Agency.

They claim that team leaders promised to confirm when they would get paid almost three weeks ago but have not given any updates since then.

In a message sent to blogger Cyprian Nyakundi, they wrote, "Hello Cyprian. Please help us. The promoters who worked with Dairyland Ice Cream and Chocolate through Daraja Agency have not been paid for their work since March.

"We have bills to pay, some of our homes are locked, and we have not heard from the agency. Please assist us."

Now, the workers are asking for urgent help to make Daraja Agency and Dairyland pay them the money they are owed.

This situation has started conversations on social media, with some people asking for officials to look into the issue.

Labor officials called to intervene about it, but the promoters' situation shows that there are ongoing problems with worker treatment in Kenya's marketing and promotional industry.
