Kenya, Aug. 3 -- A funeral service in Vihiga faced a surprising stop. During the ceremony, the coffin of a 36-year-old man wouldn't stay in the hands of the pallbearers. It kept falling during the burial procession, which lasted for more than two hours. This unusual event made many mourners and spiritual leaders whisper to each other. The burial was supposed to happen in Musutswi village near Mbale town.
Family members had gathered earlier for a Catholic mass before the final burial. But things became chaotic when six strong men tried to lift the coffin but could not hold it steady. "It dropped once at the entrance. Then again on the way to the grave. The third time, one of the pallbearers said he felt something push his hand," shared a mourner at the event. Some people started crying, while others ran away, thinking the body might be disturbed or troubled because of unfinished matters. To read more click here.
