Kenya, May 29 -- A court in Nairobi has issued arrest orders for Francis Mundia, a well-known car dealer and owner of Valley Road Motors, and his son, Brandon Ng'ang'a.

They did not come to court to face charges about the alleged theft of an expensive car worth Ksh 6.5 million.

The judge at the Makadara Law Courts, Gilbert Shikwe, gave the orders on Wednesday after Mundia, his son, and another person, Robert Mugaa Bundo, missed their scheduled court hearing.

The three are accused of working together to steal a red Mercedes-Benz car, with the registration number KDS 724T, which belongs to a man named Andrew Kiarie.

According to court documents, the theft happened on February 20, 2025, in Dandora, Kamukunji Sub-county.

The charges against them include conspiracy to commit a crime and stealing a vehicle.

Even though they were released earlier after paying bail to the police, none of the accused showed up in court.

The next court date is set for June 26, 2025, but the police have permission to arrest and bring them to court before then if they find them.
