Africa, Feb. 22 -- Drama unfolded late Friday night at a popular city nightclub when nominated Senator Karen Nyamu was forcibly escorted out after a heated encounter involving Mugithi singer Samidoh Muchoki, her on-and-off partner and father of two of her children.
Eyewitnesses report that Nyamu became visibly agitated upon spotting Samidoh in the company of an unidentified woman, leading to a public altercation that quickly escalated.
According to sources at the scene, Nyamu stormed into the venue around midnight, confronting Samidoh as he sat with the woman in a VIP section.
Video footage circulating on social media shows an irate Nyamu gesturing animatedly before security personnel intervened, guiding her out of the club amidst a crowd of onlookers.
The incident has reignited speculation about the tumultuous relationship between the senator and the musician, whose personal life has frequently made headlines.
Samidoh, whose real name is Samuel Muchoki, remained at the venue with his companion following Nyamu's exit, though he has yet to comment publicly on the incident.
Nyamu, too, has not issued an official statement, though posts on social media suggest the encounter has sparked a wave of reactions online, with some sympathising with her and others criticising her actions as disruptive.
This is not the first time Karen Nyamu and Samidoh's relationship has spilled into the public eye. In December 2022, a similar incident occurred in Dubai, where Nyamu clashed with Samidoh's wife, Edday Nderitu, during one of his performances, resulting in her being escorted out by security.
That episode prompted Nyamu to declare herself single, though the pair have since been linked intermittently.
Authorities at the club declined to comment, citing privacy concerns, while representatives for Nyamu and Samidoh could not be reached for immediate clarification. As the video continues to gain traction online, the incident is likely to fuel further debate about the high-profile pair's volatile dynamic.
