India, Feb. 22 -- Volvo recently announced that it has renamed its two popular electric models, the XC40 Recharge and the C40 Recharge, for the global market. The former (XC40 Recharge) will now be known as the EX40, while the latter (C40 Recharge) will be called the EC40. With this, the two renamed EVs are now in tune with the brand's larger range of completely electric vehicles, like the EX30, the EX90, and the EM90. However, it is worth noting that the manufacturer has omitted the 'Recharge' suffix not only from its international range of electric models but also from plug-in hybrids, which will now be known by the T6 or T8 suffix, indicating differing levels of power output.
