India, Sept. 17 -- If the tag of the first 'Indian-made' car to get a perfect Global NCAP safety rating wasn't enough, the Tata Nexon adds yet another feather to its cap.

Tata Motors has achieved a significant milestone as the Nexon becomes the first official Indian passenger car to get listed on the globally-renowned International Dismantling Information System (IDIS) platform for End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs). With this, Tata wants to reiterate its holistic commitment towards making the entire life cycle of its products sustainable. Plus, the move also complements the Indian government's soon-to-arrive vehicle scrappage policy as well as the Automotive Industry Standards (AIS 129).
