India, June 16 -- Less than three months into the launch, the second-gen Hyundai Creta has received more than 30,000 bookings. Despite the additional cost, demand for diesel variants is still high.

Hyundai brought in the new Creta roughly a week before the nation-wide lockdown on 16th March. Less than three months since the date, the company has already garnered more than 30,000 bookings. Considering that dealerships were not functioning for the most part of this duration, and the major slowdown in the economy, this is indeed an impressive feat. In fact, this has helped the Creta regain its position as the best-selling car in its class in the month of May.
