India, April 15 -- Marc Marquez, who qualified third on the grid, had big expectations for COTA 2023. Since this was Marc Marquez's first race leading for Ducati, he was understandably disappointed by the crash. The overheating of the front brake compounded Marquez's technical challenges during the race, disrupting his pace and prompting an early exit. Despite Marquez's efforts to maintain a competitive position within the lead group, he struggled with slowing down, initially grappling before finding his rhythm. Marquez had just passed Pedro Acosta for the lead at COTA before losing control of his bike in the steep braking zone of Turn 11. Throughout his career, the Spaniard had won six races at the circuit.
