India, Jan. 31 -- Franco Morbidelli suffered a nasty scare during training on a Panigale V4S production Superbike at Portimao on Tuesday. His new Pramac team said that Morbidelli was in training with the VR46 Academy, other MotoGP riders from Ducati, and the WorldSBK field when he had a "bad crash" and was rushed to the hospital for further examinations. Thankfully, precautionary and safety grounds have led to optimistic indicators regarding his current condition. At Turn 9 on the Portimao track, Morbidelli lost control of his Ducati road bike.
