India, Jan. 21 -- The Hyundai Aura has been launched in 12 variants, available with three engine options, including a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine.

Roughly a month after its official debut, Hyundai has now put its new compact-sedan, the Aura, on sale in the country. Priced between Rs 5.80 lakh and Rs 9.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Aura is based on the same platform as the Grand i10 Nios hatchback and is available with two petrol and one diesel engine options.

The design of the Aura is remarkably similar to its hatchback counterpart, and it, too, features a similar set of swept-back projector headlamps, a hexagonal grille and projector fog lamps. However, to tell it from the front-end of the hatchback, the sedan gets twin boomerang L...
