India, Oct. 20 -- Even though this car only develops 79bhp of max power on paper, Honda has definitely worked their magic in syncing this engine and gearbox. Now, Honda has had to detune this engine from 99bhp and 200Nm to 79bhp and 169Nm for the CVT transmission to be able to deal with the power and torque. But the way the electronics and gearbox extract the most amount of usable power from the engine is truly impressive. There is none of that rubber band effect associated with typical CVT automatic transmissions. The end result is seamless acceleration which to be honest feels rather brisk for an 80 horsepower car. It even has a Sport mode for more spirited driving.
