India, July 3 -- Maruti Suzuki leads with 48 per cent market share and the closest second is Hyundai India with 16 per cent market share. Tata comes in third at 9.5 per cent and Mahindra claims 6.6 per cent of the market share

The second wave of the pandemic has eased down, and most carmakers have resumed their production in a phased manner. This has allowed most manufacturers to regain the grip of the market. Most manufacturers are reporting their usual consistent sales numbers whereas some of them have reported M-o-M (Month-on-Month) or even Y-o-Y (Year-on-Year) growth in respectable numbers.
