India, Sept. 9 -- Nearly 12 lakh vehicles were registered in August 2020 across the country. Compared to the same month last year, when about 16.2 lakh vehicles were sold, the YoY decline stands at 26.8%.

Thanks to some auspicious festive days like Ganesh Chaturthi & Janmashtmi, the overall vehicle registrations in the month of August witnessed an appreciable increase. In June, the YoY decline stood at 42% and in August, it has come down to 26.8%, which is a healthy indicator of vehicle sales in the country reaching normal levels at a good pace.
