Belconnen, ACT, Jan. 15 -- ACT Policing issued the following media release:
A 27-year-old woman has been arrested overnight and charged with family violence offences after allegedly stealing her partner's dog and hitting him with her car.
About 10:20pm yesterday (Wednesday, 14 January 2026), the woman is alleged to have taken her partner's dog from his home.
Later that night, the man attended the woman's residence in Dunlop to recover his dog. Police will allege the woman then deliberately drove her vehicle at the man, hitting him and causing him to fall over.
ACT Ambulance Service attended the scene and treated the man for his injuries.
