Belconnen, ACT, May 10 -- ACT Policing issued the following media release:

ACT Policing's Road Policing officers caught an unlicenced teen twice on Wednesday night allegedly committing driving offences.

About 11:55pm on Wednesday (7 May 2025), officers were conducting patrols on Horsepark Drive in Moncrieff when they detected a Mitsubishi Outlander traveling at 119km/h in an 80km/h zone.

The driver was directed to stop, and police spoke with a 17-year-old boy from Spence. He provided officers with false details and produced a friends provisional driver licence, which was listed as suspended.

The teen was released pending further inquiries and advised to not drive unless licenced to do so.
