Brisbane police are encouraging residents to finalise their plans and get ready to put them into action as strong winds and heavy rainfall are forecast to arrive with Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
Police advise residents to keep up to date with the Bureau of Meteorology warnings and alerts.
The Bureau has forecasted significant rainfall across the southeast coast, including Brisbane over the coming days.
This is significant rainfall that will not only cause flash flooding, but prolonged riverine flooding. It's important that Brisbane residents have prepared, or are finalising preparations, for this potential rainfall and understand their risks.
