CANBERRA, ACT, Aug. 12 -- Australian Federal Police issued the following media release:

A Sudan-born man is set to appear before Melbourne Magistrate's Court today (12 August, 2025) charged with allegedly failing to comply with his visa-mandated curfew conditions.

The AFP charged the man, 38, yesterday (11 August, 2025), after he was located in Melbourne.

It will be alleged the man breached one of the conditions of his Commonwealth visa by failing to maintain his electronic monitoring device on three occasions, between 13 July, 2025, and 11 August, 2025.

The AFP will also allege these offences took place while the man was on conditional bail.

The man has been charged with:

* Three counts of failing to comply with electronic monitoring...
