Queensland Police Service (QPS) is honoured to recognise the distinguished service of Police Dog (PD) Gator, who has officially been piped out of service following a remarkable career protecting Queensland communities.
PD Gator graduated from the QPS Police Academy on 16 November 2018, and went on to serve with the Moreton Dog Squad under the dedicated partnership of his handler, Senior Constable Tim Leybourne.
Across his distinguished career, PD Gator displayed unmatched skill, determination, and drive.
He completed 601 tracking deployments, contributing to locating 317 people & 92 property articles, and supporting 135 containment deployments...
