CANBERRA, ACT, Sept. 26 -- Australian Federal Police issued the following media release:
A New South Wales man is expected to appear in Darwin Local Court today (26 September, 2025) charged with allegedly assaulting and threatening airline staff at Darwin Airport.
The AFP responded to a request for assistance when airline staff refused to allow the man, 44, to board his scheduled flight to Sydney, due to his alleged intoxication.
The man allegedly forced his way onto an aerobridge and boarded the flight, before he assaulted airline staff as they attempted to remove him from the aircraft.
The AFP attended and charged the man with:
