1. Antonio Faria appears for sentence for an offence of knowingly taking part in the manufacture of a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug contrary to s.24(2) Drug Misuse and Trafficking Act 1985 (NSW) and for a further offence on a s.166 certificate of possessing instructions to manufacture a prohibited drug contrary to s.11C Drug Misuse and Trafficking Act 1985 (NSW).
2. The penalties are 20 years imprisonment and 2 years imprisonment respectively. The maximum penalty operates as a legislative guidepost and represents the legislature's assessment of the seriousness of the offence.
