Australia, April 21 -- New South Wales Land and Environment Court issued text of the following judgement on March 21:
1. A young man, who we will call ED, lives in independent accommodation in Sydney (the Renfrew accommodation). The Renfrew accommodation is supported by a non-government agency, Sylvanvale. ED has been diagnosed with moderate to severe autism spectrum disorder and an intellectual disability. He also has epilepsy and insomnia. Because of these disabilities, his functional capacity is profoundly reduced.
2. The Public Guardian is ED's guardian and has power to make decisions about where he should live. On 16 May 2023, the Public Guardian decided that ED should move to the Renfrew accommodation. ED's father (ELQ) and his unc...
