Australia, March 12 -- New South Wales Land and Environment Court issued text of the following judgement on Feb. 12:
1. Multiquip Poultry Pty Ltd (Multiquip) and Poultry Enterprises NSW Pty Ltd (Poultry Enterprises) appear for sentence after pleading guilty to offences under s 32 of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW) (the Act) in that they failed to ensure the health and safety of workers while at work in the business or undertaking, pursuant to s 19(1) of the Act and thereby exposed Nathan Gutterson to a risk of death or serious injury.
2. The maximum penalty for each of these offences is a fine of 17,315 penalty units ($1,782,579).
