Australia, April 19 -- New South Wales Land and Environment Court issued text of the following judgement on March 18:
1. The Appellant supplied a quantity of pavers and tiles to the Respondents who ultimately rejected them. They lodged an application in the Tribunal for an order that the monies paid by them to the Appellant be refunded. They also sought a declaration that a further sum claimed by the Appellant was not payable.
2. The Respondents' application was heard by the Tribunal on 10 October 2024. The Tribunal was exercising its jurisdiction under the Fair Trading Act 1987 (NSW) (FT Act) by which the Tribunal is given jurisdiction to deal with consumer claims.
