Australia, May 9 -- New South Wales Land and Environment Court issued text of the following judgement on April 9:

1. The applicant was a registered nurse for approximately 25 years. She had worked for the respondent for more than seven years when she was dismissed in December 2021 due to her COVID-19 vaccination status. She lodged an unfair dismissal application with the Commission under s 84 of the Industrial Relations Act 1996 (NSW) (IR Act), contending that her dismissal was both substantively and procedurally unfair. That application was unsuccessful. [1]

2. The applicant now seeks leave to appeal and, if leave is granted, to appeal the decision of Commissioner O'Sullivan on 28 June 2024 dismissing her unfair dismissal application. Th...
