GRIFFITHS AJA: This appeal concerns the validity of a notice to complete in respect of a contract for the sale and purchase of land issued by the respondent vendor, Zhang Property Pty Limited, to the appellant purchaser, Bavulo Pty Limited. The appeal has a narrow focus. The specific issue is whether Zhang was entitled to issue that notice to complete and, following Bavulo's non-compliance with the timetable in that notice, to terminate the contract.
