CANBERRA, ACT, March 20 -- Murray-Darling Basin Authority issued the following news release:
Landholders and river users, including pumpers, on the Mitta Mitta River are advised to take into account the forecast releases of water from Dartmouth Dam and make any necessary adjustment to their river activities.
Transfers from Dartmouth Dam to Hume Dam are expected to continue throughout February and the coming months if conditions remain dry.
During the second half of March, releases from Dartmouth Dam (measured at Coleman's gauge) are expected to rise to approximately 6,500 ML/day from March 20, before reducing to between 5,000 ML/day and 6,000 ML/day for the remainder of the month.
