Belconnen, ACT, Aug. 12 -- ACT Policing issued the following media release:
A 29-year-old Hawker man has been charged with aggravated robbery and multiple knife offences after allegedly attempting to rob a bottle shop in Belconnen.
About 3pm yesterday afternoon (Monday 11 August 2025) the man entered a Belconnen bottle shop and then left with a stolen item.
Two loss prevention officers followed the man and asked for the stolen item to be returned. The man then allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened the two men, on two occasions.
Police were called and located the man a short time later, where he was placed under arrest.
A subsequent search of the man revealed he was in possession of 14 knives in a duffle bag, and two knives within...
