The repair works will see the installation of a temporary coffer dam upstream of the regulator that will separate the inlet regulator from the broader Torrumbarry weir pool and allow the structure to be dewatered for repair.
WaterNSW Executive Manager Operations, Ronan Magaharan, said theKoondrook-Perricoota inlet regulator had demonstrated ongoing structural concerns since 2014, which in recent years has impacted its maximum flow rate capacity.
