BRISBANE, Queensland, March 10 -- Queensland Police Service issued the following media release:

An EMERGENCY ALERT has been issued for Ipswich as at 11:39am on Monday, March 10.

This is a FLOOD WATCH AND ACT from Ipswich City Council.

PREPARE TO LEAVE as heavy rainfall and dangerous flash flooding is occurring in the region over the next number of hours.

Check the flood map for your property to see if you are affected.
