EMERGENCY ALERT FOR CHARTERS TOWERS AS AT 12.05PM MONDAY FEBRUARY 10

BRISBANE, Queensland, Feb. 10 -- Queensland Police Service issued the following media release:

An EMERGENCY ALERT has been issued at 12.05pm Monday 10February 2025 by Charters Towers Local Disaster Management Group.

This is a CRITICAL WATER ALERT from the Charters Towers Local Disaster Management Group for CHARTERS TOWERS.

Due to intake failure at weir, the Council will be moving to a level 4 water restriction (no watering). The Charters Towers community must continue to remain vigilant with water usage, ensuring water is conserved where possible.
