BRISBANE, Queensland, Feb. 21 -- Queensland Police Service issued the following media release:

Detectives from Pine Rivers Child Protection Investigation Branch are appealing to the public for information regarding the assault of a teenage girl in Mount Pleasant on February 14.

Investigations indicate a teenage girl was at a bus stop at the intersection of Mount Pleasant Road and Charles Road around 4.30pm when she was approached by a man not known to her.

The man reportedly grabbed the girl by her hips, but the girl managed to free herself. The man then drove away in a Toyota utility.

The car is described as white Toyota four-door utility with style side tray and a black or grey cover on the tray. The car had a front number plate that ...
