DIBRUGARH, March 20 -- The district election office here has launched its awareness campaign in the entire district to educate the masses on the use of Electronic Voting Machines and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) as also on the importance of casting votes.
The election officials have been assigned to move to different areas to demonstrate and explain the operating procedures of the EVM-VVPATs among the public. One such awareness campaign was organised under the aegis of District Election Office at the district Social Welfare office here for the differently-abled persons.
