GUWAHATI, Dec. 13 -- As protests grip the length and breadth of the state of Assam against the Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2019, which is now an Act, the students of Tezpur University have refused to accept the Act that threatens to corrode the cultural, linguistic and ethnic fabric of Assam.

Hundreds of Tezpur University students have joined the student community across Assam in expressing their vehement disapproval of the Centre's one-sided imposition of the Bill on the people of Assam, a press release stated.
