BISWANATH CHARIALI, Jan. 25 -- The Asam Madhyamik Sikshak Aru Karmachari Santha and its Biswanath district unit expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Rabin Saikia, former general secretary of the Santha and a teacher of Dhunaguri High School, Lakhimpur district. A team of the teachers' body led by Govinda Kalita, state secretary Pradip Sharma, Prashanta Mahanta and others visited Saikia's home on Saturday and offered condolences to the bereaved family. It may be mentioned here that late Saikia had played a pivotal role in raising the problems of the secondary teachers of the State during his tenure.
