JORHAT, July 26 -- A cosmetics shop at the Unnayan Supermarket on the first floor of Unnayan Bhawan of Jorhat Municipal Board on AT Road was damaged in a fire that broke out on Saturday. A JMB official said firemen doused the blaze and prevented it from spreading to adjoining shops. The exact cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained. The building houses about 170 shops, offices of JMB and Jorhat Zila Parishad.
