GUWAHATI, April 12 -- The North East Students' Organization (NESO), today expressed serious concern over the volatile situation in'Myanmar'and said that the people of that country, who were forced to take shelter in'India'in the face of military oppression, should be given temporary shelter in'India.

NESO, the umbrella body of the student organizations of the North East, held an emergency executive meeting and expressed concern over blatant violation of human rights in Myanmar. In the face of Army oppression, a large number of people of the neighbouring country were forced to take shelter in Mizoram and Manipur.
