Guwahati, June 25 -- Notwithstanding its status as a top wildlife reserve, the Kaziranga National Park continues to grapple with debilitating concerns. These issues need to be addressed at the earliest, failing which long-term conservation prospects of its famed wildlife will suffer in an irreversible manner. Putting a stop to the large-scale mining and quarrying activities on the Karbi Anglong hills to the national park's south as also freeing the critical animal corridors linking Kaziranga with the Karbi Anglong hills is one such priority that continues to get delayed by the authorities' inertia.
