GUWAHATI, April 24 -- With a deserving 63-run victory against Lakhimpur, Kamrup clinched the title in the 11th Veteran Inter District and Inter Institution Invitational T-20 Cricket Tournament.

The winning team walked away with the Madhurjya Prasad Barooah trophy along with a cash award of Rs 20,000. Runners-up Lakhimpur was presented Badan Chandra Saikia and a purse of Rs 10,000.

In the final played at Mangaldai today, deciding to bat first Kamrup notched up 153 for the loss of five wickets. The Lakhimpur batsmen failed to chase down the target and were restricted to 90 for nine.

The tournament was organised by the Veteran Cricket Association of Assam, Mangaldai Chapter'in Association with Veteran Cricket Association of Assam (VCAA).
