SILCHAR, April 12 -- The Under-16 inter-school cricket tournament organised by District Sports Association Silchar will get under way from April 16 at the SM Dev Stadium.
General secretary of the sports association Bijendra Prasad Singh informed the media on Monday that the Under-16 level is the newest addition to the school level cricket tournaments organised by the association and they are looking forward to some exciting new talents coming out from the upcoming event.
DSA president Babul Hore said that this is for the first time any school has come forward to sponsor an inter school tournament and thanked New Oxford High School for taking up the initiative for the development of the game.
