NAGAON, May 22 -- State Health and Finance Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma today inaugurated the old maternity unit building of Nagaon Swahid Bhugeswari Phookonani Civil Hospital as a COVID-19 hospital to treat patients in the district.
Dr Sarma inaugurated the hospital and opened the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with almost 20 beds with 10 ventilation facilities for COVID-19 patients in the presence of Nagaon district in-charge minister Keshab Mahanta and Health Minister for State Pijush Hazarika and BJP MLAs of the district ' Rupak Sarma, Dimbeswar Das and Angoorlata Deka.
Dr Sarma assured that another 10 ventilation facilities would be provided soon in the hospital and it would be kept open for all patients in the district after combating...
