Guwahati, April 26 -- The latest order from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, a modification of the order issued by the ministry on April 15, allows for further relaxation in the extended lockdown due to end by 3th May. From yesterday certain shops and commercial establishment registered under the Shops and Establishment Act of the respective States and Union Territories and market complexes outside municipality areas have been permitted to resume operations with 50 per cent staff for the remainder of the lockdown. While all markets can open in rural and semi-rural areas and sell non-essential items also, such non-essential items can be sold in urban areas only if the shop is located at a residential area and is a registered "standalone" ...
