JORHAT, April 12 -- Twenty-two persons were found COVID-19 positive in Jorhat district on Monday, thereby increasing the total number of positive cases to 12,509.

Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Roshni A Korati informed on Monday evening that altogether 3,570 tests were done across the district on Monday, out of which 3,426 were RAT and rest RT-PCR.

She said that along with the existing static COVID-19 testing centres, tests were also carried out in several educational institutions and government offices and banks by mobile health department teams.

Korati informed that among the 22 positive cases found, 18 were from RAT and four from RT-PCR.
