JORHAT, Feb. 13 -- The State unit of the BJP has approved the newly-formed 33-member Jorhat district committee of the party after the new district president Jitu Hazarika assumed charge about 10 days ago.
The new BJP Jorhat district committee headed by Hazarika has six vice-presidents, two general secretaries, six secretaries, a treasurer and 17 executive members.
It may be mentioned here that on January 31, the State leadership of the BJP had appointed Hazarika as the president of the Jorhat district unit of the party replacing Santanu Puzari, who was occupying the post since September, 2016.
