NEW DELHI, Jan. 25 -- Ahead of the Assam Assembly polls, the Congress has constituted seven committees including the all-powerful election and campaign committees.
The AICC has undertaken an ingenious exercise by trying to involve as many as senior and influential leaders of the Assam Congress in the various committees. The committees include the Assam Election Committee, Campaign Committee, Coordination, Publicity, Manifesto, Election Management, Media and Communication and Outreach Committees, according to an order issued by general secretary KC Venugopal.
