JORHAT, April 24 -- The Jorhat Police since Saturday have arrested seven youths in connection with several cases of theft and snatching that occurred in the town during the last fortnight.
A police source informed that Swapan Das of Natun Garamur outskirts here and Akash Basfor of Pulibor outskirts were arrested on charges of their involvement in the incident of theft in a wholesale grocery shop in the wee hours of April 16.
The duo along with two others reportedly broke the locks of shutters of the shop and decamped with Rs 12 lakh after breaking the cash-box, the source stated.
