Kolkata | 25 January, Jan. 25 -- A Hindu girl student in West Bengal was brutally attacked by her ex-boyfriend Asgar Mallick for ending the relationship, reports Bengali news daily Sangbad Pratidin.

As per report emerging on 22nd January, Soumi, a third year student in Graduation level, who is also a leader of the student wing of ruling TMC in Sarat Centenary College in Dhaniakhali, is now being treated in Kolkata Medical College in a very critical condition. Asgar, the jilted boyfriend of Soumi, is labor in a local factory.
