New Delhi, July 22 -- A wanted criminal previously involved in multiple violent attacks on police teams and robbery cases was injured in a police encounter during a late-night joint operation by the Anti-Narcotics Squad (East District) and Special Staff (East District) in East Delhi's Ghazipur, officials said on Tuesday.

The accused has been identified as Khemchand, they said.
