Vadodara, July 9 -- At least three to four vehicles plunged into the Mahisagar River after a portion of the Gambhira bridge collapsed in Padra area of Gujarat's Vadodara district on Wednesday morning, Anand Superintendent of Police (SP) Gaurav Jasani said.
"A part of the bridge connecting Anand and Vadodara has collapsed. Three to four vehicles have fallen into the river. Rescue operations are underway," Anand SP Gaurav Jasani said, while speaking to ANI.
The Gambhira bridge, which connects the Vadodara and Anand districts of Gujarat, collapsed in Padra on Wednesday. Following the incident, local administration teams rushed to the spot and began rescue efforts.
