Copenhagen, May 14 -- At the 2025 Copenhagen Democracy Summit, Uyghur-American activist Rushan Abbas brought international attention to the ongoing repression of Uyghurs in China, framing the crisis as not only a human rights emergency but a growing global threat to democratic values.
