Washington DC, Oct. 20 -- The United States and Australia on Monday (local time) sealed landmark agreements worth billions, aimed at strengthening cooperation on critical minerals and defence collaboration, in a major boost to strategic and economic ties between the two nations, with both nations committing over USD 8.5 billion in joint investments over the next six months.
The landmark deals were signed during a high-level meeting between US President Donald Trump and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
The agreements are the result of months of negotiations and are expected to significantly enhance supply-chain security, energy independence, and military cooperation between the two allies.
